Abstract

Vladimiro Dal Santo Nanostructured Catalytic Systems for a Sustainable Employment of Energy Sources Sustainability is a topical concept. It was defined according to Brundtland report as “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. This definition fits well what today is strongly felt as one of the primary necessity related to natural energy sources. Within this field I studied several aspects concerning the employment of nanostructured catalytic systems for sustainable processes. The studies were focused on supported metal nanoparticles used for different purposes. Pt free electrocatalysts for low temperature direct fuel cells were deeply characterised to understand the role of a novel precursor.
